Kuok Maritime Group Acquires McPEC Marine & Offshore Engineering Pte Ltd

Kuok Maritime Group (KMG) which includes the PaxOcean Group (PaxOcean), Pacific Carriers Limited (PCL), PACC Offshore Services Holdings Ltd. (POSH), Pacific Workboats Pte Ltd (PWPL) has announced the acquisition of McPEC Marine & Offshore Engineering Pte Ltd (McPEC), a leading provider of integrated and turnkey solutions for marine, offshore, energy, market in engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC).

McPEC has been providing EPCC services in the modules market for over 17 years and has a strong reputation for providing innovative solutions in the industry. With its focus on quality and reliability, McPEC is one of the pioneers in modular buildings for offshore and onshore use in Singapore, particularly electrical control and instrumentation buildings. Over the years, McPEC has successfully delivered many international projects, and has been collaborating with PaxOcean since 2019.

PaxOcean has more than 2,000,000 square metres of fully built-up shipyards with 5km of seafront, strategically located around the world in Singapore, Indonesia Batam, and China. The other business units under KMG, namely POSH, PCL and PWPL also manages a fleet of vessels that provide integrated maritime services ranging from offshore supply and logistics support to offshore accommodation and harbour towage as well as services such as the transportation of cargoes and integrated logistics services worldwide.

Following the acquisition, McPEC will gain access to the shipyards and capacity of KMG, in particular, the spacious yard space of 570,000 square metres with dedicated space used for modular buildings in Batam. McPEC will be able to provide even more construction and delivery options to its clients.

It also enables us to expand our presence in the global modular construction market.”

We will now be able to leverage on the larger KMG network to access new markets and customers, and to tap on more resources and expertise to propel the business to new heights.”

Mr Jonathan Lee and Managing Director, Mr. Lee Weijia will continue to lead McPEC post-acquisition.
