SINGAPORE, 22 April 2026 – The Coastal Sustainability Alliance (CSA), an industry collaborative effort led by Kuok Maritime Group (KMG), today announced that it has expanded its collaboration with seven industry leaders during this year’s Singapore Maritime Week to launch a “Milk-Run” Logistics Proof of Concept - a smarter, consolidated shore-to-ship cargo delivery model designed to improve operations at Singapore’s busy anchorages.
The traditional approach of multiple small boats making individual trips to various ships is being replaced by a more efficient “green shuttle” system. Voltai, Singapore’s largest e-supply boat, will deliver goods to multiple mother vessels in a single, optimised loop. This “Milk-Run” strategy aims to significantly reduce marine traffic and help ship owners lower their Scope 3 emissions, contributing to the maritime industry’s sustainability goals.
Building a Collaborative Ecosystem
The success of the Milk-Run Logistics relies on collaboration across multiple stakeholders. Key partners include:
Driving Sustainability and Efficiency
“Logistics is a team sport”, said Mr. Tan Thai Yong, Chair of CSA and CEO of PaxOcean Group. “By aligning regulators, technologists, and operators, we are not just launching an electric vessel — we are introducing a new way for Singapore’s port to operate sustainably and efficiently. This partnership demonstrates the importance of collaboration in achieving meaningful change."
Public Visit to Singapore’s First Fully Electric Tug
SMW 2026 will feature an exclusive public showcase of the PXO Electric Tug EON - Singapore’s first fully electric harbour tug.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience EON’s advanced capabilities firsthand, including its fully electric propulsion system, high-performance battery energy storage, and optimised design for harbour operations. The showcase will highlight how EON delivers zero-emission performance without compromising on power, demonstrating the vessel’s ability to meet demanding port requirements while significantly reducing carbon emissions, noise, and overall operating costs.
The showcase will also feature Beecharge Innovation Group (BIG), a Singapore-based partner demonstrating modular mobile and hybrid energy nodes that enable ultra-fast DC charging where fixed infrastructure may be limited.
